Residency

Residence follows work permits, largely for oil, humanitarian and diplomatic personnel. There is no investor route, and conflict has displaced a large share of the population.

Tax

Personal rates reach 20% and the corporate rate is 25%, with an 18% sales tax. Oil is taxed under separate arrangements and dominates public revenue. There is no wealth or inheritance tax.
