Residency
Gibraltar grants Category 2 status to high-net-worth individuals, capping taxable income and requiring approved local accommodation. Ordinary residence and work permits also exist, but the tiny housing stock is the real bottleneck.
Tax
Gibraltar levies no VAT, no capital gains tax, no wealth tax and no inheritance tax. Personal income tax applies, though Category 2 residents are taxed on only a capped slice of their income.
